The first one was better. It made its share of double entendres but then it addressed the actual story, while the second one was just worse and worse jokes that, at best, might have also meant something if you really thought about them.
I hope at least half of the tea-baggers are completely oblivious to the joke. I hope somebody tries to push for a new political party named after it. That'd be a great chapter in the new American History books.
